StahlDat SX

StahlDat SX

StahlDat SX is the only authorized publication of the European Steel Register (the Stahl-Eisen-Liste). Specification data and temperature-dependent properties are licensed from the German Steel Institute (VDEh) in Düsseldorf, which also hosts the European Steel Registration Office and publishes SEW 310. The list currently includes over 2,400 steels, more than 470 of them corrosion-resistant stainless grades, and is actively maintained:

  • 380+ plain carbon steels
  • 140+ low-alloy steels
  • 190+ high quality steels
  • 1400+ alloyed stainless steels
  • 130+ non-ferrous metals

Further data for steels include:

  • Material designations – material number per EN 10027-2, shortname per EN 10027-1, tradenames characteristics, purpose
  • International equivalent standards
  • Delivery conditions
  • Composition specification
  • Mechanical properties including, but not limited to – yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, impact energy, hardness
  • Suppliers
  • Temperature dependent data (for over 450 materials):
    • Density
    • Thermal expansion coefficent
    • Modulus of elasticity
    • Etc.
